Youngsville Life: Alumni lunch recognizes Class of 1975

— YHS Alumni Lunch: The Youngsville High School Alumni will be holding their “Alumni Lunch” on Tuesday, July 14 from noon to 3 p.m., at the Youngsville Firehall. Please bring a dish to pass, and table service and drinks will be provided. This year, the Class of 1975 will be recognized. Mark the date and hope to see you there!
— St. Francis Episcopal Church, 343 East Main St. Youngsville, Please join us each Wednesday evening at 7:30pm for a Taize Prayer service. These quiet, contemplative gatherings offer a beautiful opportunity for prayer and reflection. If you have any questions please reach out to Vicar Joe McGarry at 814-723-9360.

— Summer Reading Programs: The youth summer reading program, “Unearth a Story”, has started. Running from now until Aug. 21, for ages 2-18, age appropriate books, and you can submit one form per week. New this summer is an “Adult Summer Reading Program”!
Stop by and grab a “BINGO” sheet and follow the directions to complete a bingo and get entered into a drawing for a Prize bag! Stop in to get more information
— On Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, Career Link will be at the Youngsville Library. Stop in for your one stop shop for career development. They offer free personalized services including one on one support with resumes and applications. They can also help you access skills testing and other job seeker resources. This will be a weekly event on Tuesdays from 10 a.m to noon, until further notice.
— June programs: Summer reading program and month-long sidewalk/parking lot decorating.
— To make giving even easier, you can now stop by the Youngsville branch of Northwest Savings Bank and donate directly to the library. Stop by during normal business hours and the staff will help you with your donation.
— As a reminder of the library services: Public wifi access 24/7; high speed internet; power library reference and computer applications; computer printing, copier, scanner and faxing available with a fee; Book Club meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 3pm-4pm; Preschool story time is 2nd Tuesday of the month from 10:30am-11am; WIFI Wednesday is the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 4pm-5pm. Stop by for free help with your E-Devices! iPhone, Androids, tablets, no appointment is needed.
Miscellaneous New:
— Every Thursday, is “Bar-Bingo” at the Youngsville American Legion (10 North Main St.).
Bingo starts at 6pm, and the kitchen opens at 5pm. Bar-Bingo is a formal term for this
weekly fundraising event and is not intended to imply that bingo participants are required to
sit at or near the bar area
