Allegheny Outdoor Club to kayak Sunday
On Sunday, June 7, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will kayak on the Conewango Creek. Those attending should meet at the magistrate’s office in front of Tractor Supply in Warren at 1:30 p.m. The group will paddle upstream from the Akeley launch for an hour before returning. Tom Patterson is in charge of this activity.
Bridge league winners announced
There was no Monday game due to Memorial Day. On Tuesday at the Woman’s Club, Connie Michell came in first and Alice Kellogg was second. Connie Lucia won on Thursday at the Woman’s Club and Donna Hickey was second.
Caregivers Support Group Meeting to meet Thursday
The Caregivers Support Group-Warren will be Thursday, June 4, at 6 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Avenue East, Warren. Those attending should enter the building via the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance and proceed to the Winger Room. Meetings are a time of confidential discussion and sharing of concerns from caregivers. The lending library will be available as well as literature from the Alzheimer’s Association including information regarding the Warren Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease on Sept. 26. All caregivers and those interested in learning about Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia-related disorders are welcome to attend. Support group meetings are open to the public.
