America 250 plans discussed at DAR meeting

City of Warren Council Vice President Danielle Flasher presented at the Daughters of the American Revolution General Joseph Warren Chapter’s annual meeting earlier in June. Flasher presented semiquincentennial plans for the City of Warren and shared her own patriotic history revealing an interest in joining the group.

Chapter Regent Michelle Gray stated, “The Warren County area was surveyed by Andrew Ellicott and General William Irvine, mandated by the State Legislature on April 18, 1795, for the express purpose of giving land parcels to Revolutionary soldiers who had fought to win our freedom. There are many descendants of patriots in our area.”
