Rouse recently welcomed employee children and grandchildren for its second annual Take Your Child to Work Day, transforming the facility into a whimsical “Whoville” filled with hands-on learning and fun. Nine young visitors explored a variety of departments, including nursing and direct care, therapy, social work, environmental services, maintenance, dietary, finance, and human resources. They also participated in activities with residents, experiencing firsthand the teamwork and compassion that define life at Rouse. “Our goal is to inspire curiosity and show the many ways people can make a difference in healthcare,” said Susan Teconchuk, CEO of Rouse. “It was wonderful to see the excitement as our young guests explored different roles and connected with our residents and staff.” The event highlighted the importance of every role within the organization and continues to be a meaningful way to engage the next generation.
