Music Director Rob Pearce is preparing students for the “Let Freedom SIng” show set for Saturday, May 30 at the Struthers Library Theatre.

The Struthers Library Theatre Academy presents “Let Freedom Sing” for its 2026 Spring Show. The performance will take place at the historic Struthers Library Theatre located at 302 W. Third Ave., Warren on Saturday at 7 p.m.

This year’s Academy production features 39 talented Warren County students who have spent the semester developing their skills in acting, improvisation, music, movement, staging, blocking, and other areas of theater performance. Through powerful music and memorable storytelling, Let Freedom Sing pays tribute to our nation’s 250th birthday by taking audiences on a journey through the defining moments and influential figures that shaped America’s founding.

The show celebrates how our country was formed, the people who helped build it, and what those ideals continue to mean today. Academy students will also share inspiring musical selections that highlight what truly makes America great.

The SLT Academy is a performing arts education program at Struthers Library Theatre under the direction of Jennifer Check. The Academy offers three levels of classes: Level 100 for students in grades 2-4, Level 200 for grades 5-7, and Level 300 for grades 8-12.

Students have the opportunity to participate in three separate sessions throughout the year: a Fall Semester, a Spring Semester, and a Summer Intensive Camp. Families may choose to register for any individual session or participate in all three programs throughout the year.
