Dance Competition Team has strong start in Ohio

On a recent weekend Molly Dies’ Dance Express Competition Team attended their first regional dance competition of the season in StarQuest at DeYor Performing Arts in Youngstown, Ohio. The Team walked away with highest adjudications, overalls, and lots of memories! Dancers also received special judge’s awards for their dance routines, going to Adeline Amsdell for her “Top Tier Timing”, Izzy McMonigal & Rocco Siliano for their “Infections Energy”, the Mini level tap dance “Coolest Kids In Town”, and the Junior level lyrical dance “Lovely Lyrical” for their storytelling.

The Elite level received the coveted “Apogee award” for the highest scoring 13 and over routine for their Lyrical dance. Rocco Siliano placed 1st overall out of all the advanced senior soloists for his Jazz solo. Rocco Siliano and Harper Jones placed first overall in the senior duet/trio category for their Jazz routine. Rocco Siliano and Taylor Alexander both received second runner-up for “Title” in their respective divisions. “Amazing job from all of the 26 dancers,” dance officials said. “They represented themselves, the dance studio, and Warren County with grace, leadership, hard work and dedication. The Team has four more regional competitions this season. Off to a great start!”
