Rouse Home honors volunteer of year
YOUNGSVILLE – The Rouse has named Barb Luce as its Rouse Volunteer of the Year in recognition of her dedication and service to the residents of The Suites at Rouse.
For many years, Luce has volunteered her time at The Suites at Rouse, leading an exercise program for residents. Her twice-weekly sessions have become a highlight of the week, with residents anticipating only the physical activity, encouragement, positivity, and joy Luce brings into the room.
Luce’s program goes far beyond exercise. Her energy, compassion, and genuine connection with residents help promote wellness, confidence, and social engagement. She creates an atmosphere where residents feel motivated, included, and celebrated. Staff members consistently share how much her presence enhances the overall quality of life within the community.
“Barb’s commitment to our residents is truly inspiring,” said Susan Teconchuk, CEO of Rouse. “She shows up every week with enthusiasm and heart. Our residents absolutely adore her, and we are incredibly grateful for the difference she makes.”
The Rouse Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding service, reliability, and impact within the Rouse community.
