Free books barn dance/pizza party is Saturday
Fredonia’s Joe Kwiatkowski is the caller for the old-time country Barn Dance Fundraiser for Free Books for Kids Town on Saturday, February 21. The 4–7 p.m. event at the North Warren Community Center features dancing 4–6 p.m. and a 6–7 p.m. pizza party.
The Free Books for Kids Town Barn Dance will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the North Warren Community Center, 3 Church St., North Warren.
All ages are invited to be part of old-time country dancing from 4 to 6 p.m. and the 6 to 7 p.m. pizza party.
Caller Joe Kwiatkowski from Fredonia makes the dancing very simple to follow.
“It’s easier than square dancing,” said Ruby Wiles, Free Books for Kids Town director. “Anyone of any age can do it, and it’s so much fun!”
As they have for earlier Free Books for Kids Town dances, a number of local musicians are collaborating to perform live music. A basket raffle and 50/50 will add to the festivities. Participants will also be able to sponsor a book, purchase handmade items, and enjoy light refreshments throughout. The pizza party begins at 6 p.m. with pizza donated by Wicked Warren’s and Little Caesar’s.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, or presale at Warren Antiques and Styles Unlimited in Warren and Bean Bank in Youngsville. Prices are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and teens, and $8 for children. Admission includes the pizza party.
Proceeds benefit free book and education programs in Warren County. Those who want to donate a book to children in Warren County can visit FreeBooksKidsTown.com.
