Warren library announces February events

The Warren Public Library has several upcoming events for community members of all ages.

Trivia Night will take place on Thursday, Feb. 12. Adults and teens in grades nine and up are invited to participate. Teams may include up to six members and must register in advance through the Warren Public Library website. Doors open at 5:45 pm, with trivia beginning at 6 pm.

On Tuesday, Feb. 17, therapy dogs will visit the library from 6:30 to 7 pm. All ages are welcome to meet the dogs and their handlers and learn about the Warren County School District’s PAWSitive Support Program, which places five therapy dogs in schools throughout the district. These dogs provide comfort and support to students, faculty and staff. The event will be held in the Slater room.

The library will host the second session of its Cabin Fever series on Saturday, Feb. 21, titled Plant Pests. The program runs from 11 am to noon in the Slater room, and registration is required. The Master Gardeners will discuss garden and lawn weeds, invasive plants and strategies for identifying, controlling and slowing the spread of plant pests. A third session in the Cabin Fever Series will be offered in the upcoming months.

On Wednesday, Feb. 25, Kelly Hunt of Pine Grove Personal Paintings will lead a painting class from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Slater Room. Participants will learn how to create a unique background using plastic and the Bouchett technique.

Starting at $3.50/week.
