Conservation District to hold art contest

The Warren County Conservation District is holding its art contest with entries accepted through March 13.

The theme is “Soil. Where It All Begins.” The district is accepting artwork from students in kindergarten through 12th grade through 4 p.m. March 13. The public is welcome to vote for People’s Choice from March 17 through March 31 at the Warren County Conservation District building, 4000 Conewango Ave., Warren, between business hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Formal judging for first through third place in each age group will occur on April 3 and winners will be notified on April 6. Prizes are being sponsored by the Warren County Visitor’s Bureau.

Artwork must be original creations of the students and must be on 8 ½ x 11 card stock. The theme “Soil. Where it all Begins” must be located somewhere in the picture. Students can use pencil, crayon, colored pencil, marker, charcoal, paint, or pen.
