Outdoor Club To Hike,

Ski At Audubon

On Sunday, Feb. 1, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike or cross-country ski at the Audubon Community Nature Center trails near Jamestown. Members will use a loop trail of 3.5 miles. The loop trail is relatively flat and will be snow covered. The group will meet at the Nature Center parking lot at 1:30 p.m.

Peter To will be the leader for the hike.

WGH to host blood

drive Feb. 5

The Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at Warren General Hospital, 2 Crescent Park, Warren. To donate, individuals must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Appointments can be scheduled by visiting www.fourhearts.org or by calling Edinger at 814-596-3395. Walk-ins are also welcome, but scheduling an appointment ensures a smoother process for donors. Blood donations take about 45 minutes.

Monday evening at the YMCA, Shelley Dahlie and Pat Fincher placed first with Chick Bello and Bill Kuppinger in second. Nan Cashman came in first on Tuesday at the Woman’s Club and Bill Massa was second. Thursday at the Woman’s Club, Bill Massa and Connie Lucia were first and second. The third week of the annual Marathon at the Woman’s Club found Penny Miller and Dave Benedict holding on to first place with Laurie Curren and My Ignatius claiming second.
