Bridge league winners announced

Monday evening at the YMCA, Shelley Dahlie and Pat Fincher came in first with Richard Woodruff and Laurie Curren in second. At the Woman’s Club on Tuesday, Alice Kellogg placed first and Connie Michell was second. Susie Spangler won on Thursday at the Woman’s Club and Betsy Miller was second.

Blood drive to be held Dec. 31

The Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Holy Redeemer church, 11 Russell St., Warren. To donate, individuals must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Appointments can be scheduled by visiting www.fourhearts.org or by calling Edinger at 814-596-3395. Walk-ins are also welcome, but scheduling an appointment ensures a smoother process for donors. Blood donations take about 45 minutes.

Health insurance help available

Pennie – Pennsylvania’s official health insurance marketplace – has extended its deadline for enrollment in a health insurance plan. Warren residents can enroll through January 31 for February 1 coverage. Pennie is the only place where Pennsylvanians can get financial savings to help reduce the cost of coverage and care. A Pennie-certified assister will be in Warren offering free education and enrollment support at the following locations from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 29, at the Warren Public Library.
