Area locations giving back to veterans

During November, Operation Give Thanks is a company-and customer-supported program designed to aid active-duty service members, veterans, and their families using various armed forces related charities in Kwik Fill Country.

Through mug and merchandise sales, in-store donations, fuel contributions, and community events, proceeds benefit partner organizations such as the Allegheny Valley Veterans Center located in Clarendon, Pa.

Kwik Fill’s Operation Give Thanks is split among three organizations in which the AVVC has received checks with increasing amounts each year over the past three years. This is a tremendous help for the center since the monthly bills alone are over $5000 per month. Kwik Fill is shooting for $1 million to be raised this year. Money is raised in a short amount of time and checks are given by the beginning of the new year.

On Tuesday, veterans are saluted with these discounts locally:

— Little Caesars In keeping with its longstanding tradition of giving back to those who serve, Little Caesars is once again offering a free Hot-n-Ready Lunch Combo to veterans and active-duty military members.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., veterans and active military can enjoy a complimentary Lunch Combo, which includes four slices of Little Caesars signature Detroit-style Deep Dish pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi beverage.

— Starbucks — Veterans, military servicemembers and military spouses can enjoy a free tall 12-ounce brewed coffee — hot or iced.

— Tractor Supply Co. — To honor those who serve our communities, Hometown Heroes will receive a 10% discount.

— Bob Evans — A free, farm-fresh meal is offered to all veterans and active-duty military personnel. Available for dine-in only, the 2025 Veterans Day menu features 10 hearty favorites.
