Jean E. Berry has been named to America’s Best in Medicine

Jean E. Berry has been named to America’s Best in Medicine, recognizing exceptional clinical excellence, patient outcomes, and leadership in behavioral health and addiction treatment.

A licensed professional counselor and former clinical director of outpatient addiction and Medication-Assisted Treatment programs licensed by Pennsylvania DDAP and New York OASAS, Berry brings more than two decades of mental health experience and more than 13 years in long-term recovery to her work with individuals and families. A survivor of metastatic breast cancer, she integrates lived experience with evidence-based care to treat co-occurring substance use and mental health diagnoses.

“I am honored by this recognition,” Berry said. “My commitment is simple: meet people exactly where they are and deliver care that finally fits their lives. We focus on emotional regulation, relapse prevention, grief, and trauma–turning insight into measurable, durable change.”

In all of her practice work, Berry provides strengths-based, solution-focused, and trauma-informed treatment emphasizing emotional regulation, relapse prevention, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and cancer survivorship. Her approach draws on EFT- Tapping, Sound Healing, CBT, DBT-informed skills, ACT, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and structured safety and recovery planning. She collaborates across systems–medical, legal, school, and residential–to reduce barriers to care and sustain outcomes.

Berry’s professional leadership includes co-founding Reclamation Sisters with her sister, Laura Berry Demers, a purpose-driven platform offering curricula and education to help individuals rebuild a life of meaning and value after addiction. She is an ordained Spiritualist and holds advanced credentials including International Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICAADC), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), Certified Substance Abuse Clinical Supervisor, Certified Criminal Justice Practitioner (CJP), Certified Grief Professional (CGP), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II).

“Jean’s work stands out for its clarity and results,” said a spokesperson for Reclamation Sisters. “Her blend of rigorous clinical practice, lived experience, and compassionate care consistently produces measurable improvement in daily functioning and recovery stability.”
