Community Foundation receives contributions

The Community Foundation of Warren County received $16,364.60 in contributions from these generous donors in the month of September to the following funds held by the foundation.

Contributions include:

– Irvine Presbyterian Church Fund – Irvine Presbyterian Church.

– K-9 Fund – Blueberry Hill Golf Event.

– Mary-Emily and William S. Allen Fund – William S. Allen.

– CFWC Unrestricted Fund – McComas Charitable Fund.

– Warren Sports Boosters Michael J. Curren Memorial Scholarship – Richard and Susan Curren in memory of Amanda Hackett.

The Community Foundation’s Trust Distribution Committee approved grants totaling $64,200 in October to the following charitable causes serving Warren County residents: Ruth M. Smith Center, and the Warren County Fair.

The Community Foundation’s Trust Distribution Committee also approved non-traditional scholarships totaling $6,650 in October. The Warren County residents awarded scholarships are pursuing training or certifications in healthcare leadership and administration, clinical medical assistant, and advanced 340B operations training to further their careers here in Warren County.

The Community Foundation’s Corporate Board of Directors approved donor-advised disbursements of income totaling $2,383.61 in October to the following charitable causes: Kids In Need Fund.

Since 1949, the Community Foundation of Warren County has been dedicated to improving life in Warren County through philanthropy. The Community Foundation provides more than $1,000,000 in scholarships annually and distributes more than $3,500,000 in grants each year to support local students and charitable causes.
