Blizzard of Ozz makes trek for Warren show
Blizzard Of Ozz, which is based out of Rochester, has quickly become one of the top drawing tributes in the Western and Central New York areas.
Playing to huge crowds at summer festivals as well as select in door venues. The music is at the forefront but the band also brings it with their stage show and look.
The band will be in Warren, performing at 8 p.m. at Pellegrino’s Creek Side Pavilion. Doors open at 4 p.m. with the band playing at 8.
“I wanted to put together a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne so the search began to find not only a great guitar player but someone who could pull off Ozzy,” said Pete Ziccardi, who plays drums for the tribute band for Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. “I contacted a good friend of mine to play bass Scott Dasson he said absolutely! Once that was filled I began to look for a guitarist and not just any guitarist but one with exceptional skill after many auditions, the perfect fit was Dan Bouvier.
“Dan’s playing and attention to detail are exceptional, one of the top young guitar players in the Western New York music scene. It’s not easy playing Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee and Zakk Wyld guitar parts but Dan does it with such ease not to mention being a huge fan of all.
“So now the fun part I needed Ozzy! The search began audition after audition and I was getting nowhere. Enter Ed Schubauer who ironically was playing in another Ozzy tribute which broke up. He heard I was looking, Ed contacted me and we hit it off and finally the band was complete.”
Volpe Band Brothers, Brian Chase and Matt Maloof will be playing before 8. Admission is $15 the day of the show.
