Community News:

The Youngsville Borough is looking for borough residents to join the Zoning Board and the Rec-commision. Any interested residents should stop by the borough office for more information.

The New Life Church, 18 Second St. Youngsville, has started having “First Friday Movie and Dinner Night” and “Second Saturday Breakfast With Friends”, each month. Last Friday was the first movie and dinner night. The movie was “Hidden Figures” and it was an outstanding movie about 3 brave ladies’ careers working at NASA.

Saturday, Sept. 13 at 9 a.m. is “Breakfast with friends” so feel welcome to come and bring something to share in the Fellowship, Friendship & Faith.

Hessel Valley Lutheran Church, 166 Hessel Valley Road, Chandlers Valley, PA., Everyone is invited to come to the Hessel Valley Lutheran Church for the free monthly outreach luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 11:30 a.m. The new accessibility ramp is now in place. The menu is pulled pork, macaroni salad and potato salad, baked beans, and ice cream sundaes with all the fixings and cookies. A special performance by Harmony Gals at 11:30 a.m. with lunch to follow.

As a reminder of the library services: Public wifi access 24/7; high speed internet; power library reference and computer applications; computer printing, copier, scanner and faxing available with a fee; Book Club meets the second Tuesday of the month from 3-4 p.m. Preschool story time is the second Tuesday of the month from 10:30-11 a.m. WIFI Wednesday is the third Wednesday of the month from 4-5 p.m. Stop by for free help with your E-Devices! iPhone, Androids, tablets, no appointment is needed.

Miscellaneous New:

Every Thursday, is “Bar-Bingo” at the Youngsville American Legion (10 North Main St.). Bingo starts at 6 p.m., and the kitchen opens at 5 p.m. No smoking allowed from 5-9 p.m. on these weekly Bar-Bingo nights. Bar-Bingo is a formal term for this weekly fundraising event and is not intended to imply that bingo participants are required to sit at or near the bar area.
