LIBRARY NEWS
The library’s annual book sale is Saturday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Book sale items include a variety of “gently used” books and DVDs for all ages and genres. Starting at 11 a.m., hot dogs and chips will be available for a donation. In other new library news, stop by and check out the new solar bench out front with phone charging.
As a reminder of the library services: public wifi access 24/7; high speed internet; power library reference and computer applications; computer printing, copier, scanner and faxing available with a fee.
The library’s Book Club meets the second Tuesday of the month from 3 to 4 p.m. Pre-school story time is the second Tuesday of the month from 10:30 to 11 a.m. WIFI Wednesday is the third Wednesday of the month from 4 to 5 p.m. Stop by for free help with e-devices, including iPhone, Androids and tablets. No appointment is needed.
BAR-BINGO
Every Thursday is “Bar-Bingo” at the Youngsville American Legion (10 North Main St.). Bingo starts at 6 p.m. with the kitchen open at 5 p.m. No smoking allowed from 5 to 9 p.m. during the weekly Bar-Bingo nights. Bar-Bingo is a formal term for the weekly fundraising event and is not intended to imply that bingo participants are required to sit at or near the bar area.
