Regional events took the team to: Youngstown, Ohio, (StarQuest), New Castle, Pa., (Breakout), Youngstown, Ohio, (Ticket To Broadway), Hamburg, N.Y.(Imagine), and Hamburg, N.Y. (ECEDC).

The 12 MDDE Elite Competition Team Dancers took to 4-6 of the stages, the 19 MDDE Apprentice/Mini Competition Team Dancers took to 2 of the stages, all together performing 30 dance routines. Competing in the styles of: Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre in the dance routine format of: Solo, Duet, Small Group, and Large Group. Adjudication, judge’s special awards and overall high scores for these dances were given from three professional dance judges at each competition.

The Company Members, along with their Choreographers, received multiple Entertainment Awards, Technique Awards, Showmanship Awards, Choreography Awards, Costume Awards, Highest Scoring Awards, Overall High Score Achievements, Performance Awards, Precision Awards, Studio Spirit, Top Billing, Special Judges’ Awards, Team Awards, and array of medal colors.

The dancers and choreographers train for months in pre-competition class format and competition classes/rehearsals/performances. With the love and support of all their teachers, choreographers, and most importantly their parents, the team continues to be unstoppable in competition seasons. The most honorable award of any of the Competitions, “Sportsmanship Award” & “Excellence In The Wings”, was awarded to the MDDE Team for their kindness, professionalism, and standing to applaud overall winners at each award ceremony ~ “a genuinely classy group of young dancers” said the master of ceremonies.

Receiving one of their most honorable awards, “Excellence In The Wings” are 2024-2025 Elite Team Members: Rylee Steffan, Katelyn Jurkowski, Harper Jones, Taylor Alexander, Adeline Amsdell, Rocco Siliano, Anne Lin, Noel Alexander, Izzy McMonigal, Carly Olsen and Lillian Wellner.

“The dedication, desire and discipline these dancers display is what keeps ME going!” says Molly Dies Geer, Company Director. She added, “The passion they present is refreshing and come upon by hard work and strong discipline which are the values that are instilled in them at home and here at the studio.”

That love and passion translates into much more than just dancing, a true family the Company dancers and their parents create, as awarded over and over at the different competitions. Amongst all the standout awards, the group had multiple “Title” Winners, Top Billing Soloist, Top Technique Soloist throughout their Regional Competitions — Mr. Rocco Siliano, Miss Noel Alexander, Miss Anne Lin, and honorary Elite member Miss Hannah Powell.

“The whole Company puts in so much time in and out of the Studio. We’re very proud of these dancers and the time commitment they give. Open Studio, to weekend rehearsals, school days off. They all work so hard, and their hard work shows no matter what the award!”

This award-winning dance family consists of choreographers/teachers: Molly Dies Geer, Carly Davies, Madison Bezon, Brea Poston, Hannah Augenstein, Rachel Dietsch, Sarah Dietsch, Laura Sears-Baldensperger, Emma Darling, Madison Jache, Grayce Thomas, and Nathan Nitczynski.

Dance classes for the 42nd season start the week of Sept. 8 Save-the-date as the 26-member Competition Team, and friends, bring back yet a “new” seventh “Christmas Spectacular”, on Thanksgiving weekend.
