An unknown vehicle traveling eastbound in the area of 439 Farnsworth Road in Mead township veered off the road while negotiating a left curve in the roadway and struck a telephone pole around 7 p.m. Aug. 15. The impact sheared the pole at its base.

Evidence at the scene consisted of tire marks and striations along with the property damage. Verizon had been notified of the damage to their property. The vehicle and driver were not present when police arrived. The vehicle’s make, model, color and license plate remain unknown. State Police at Warren are asking anyone with any information to please call the barracks at 814-728-3600.
