Cornplanter Council members reach peak of Baldy Mountain

A contingent from Chief Cornplanter Council made the trek to Philmont, leaving by train on July 22, to cover more than 75 miles of trails through more than 92,000 acres and elevations up to 12,441 feet over the course of 11 days. The group reached the summit of Baldy Mountain; the highest peak in the Cimarron Range, on Monday, July 28, reaching the highest peak at Philmont. Contingent 2081 members include: Huntley LaVigne, Brookie LaVigne (Leader), Mike Carnahan (Leader), Mikey Carnahan, Michael Crone (Leader), Andrew Haight, Corey Bunce, Matt DeSimone, Aidon, Knowles, Carsyn Branstrom, Collin Havers and Riley Lauger.
