Community Foundation receives contributions
The Community Foundation of Warren County received $16,689 in contributions from donors in July to the following funds held by the Community Foundation:
– Be The Light Scholarship Fund – Warren Area High School Activity Fund.
– Daniel and Penny Wolboldt Charitable Fund – Matthew Brennan.
– David and Alice Engle Memorial Fund – Community Foundation of Warren County in memory of David Engle.
– K-9 Fund – Jeep Wranglers.
– Kids In Need fund – Usherwood, Warren General Hospital, Warren Snow Removal, Fuller Building Maintenance, Golf Outing Fund Raising, Mary Conarro.

The Community Foundation’s Trust Distribution Committee approved grants totaling $28,000 in August to the following charitable causes serving Warren County residents:
Spring Creek Township Playground Association, Struthers Library Theatre.
The Community Foundation’s Trust Distribution Committee also approved non-traditional scholarships totaling $3,000 in August to two Warren County residents pursuing training or certifications in the areas of phlebotomy, and medical equipment technology to further their healthcare careers.
The Community Foundation’s Corporate Board of Directors approved Donor-Advised disbursements of income totaling $268,900 in August to the following charitable causes: A Safe Place, CASA, City of Warren – Mulberry Park Project, Experience Inc Area Agency on Aging – Intergenerational art & culinary kids programs, Hospice of Warren County – in memory of Joan Hamel, Jefferson DeFrees Family Center Summer Programming, Kids In Need Fund, Kinzua Youth Development Center, Make-A-Wish Foundation for Greater Pennsylvania, Pawsitive Support Program Fund – in memory of Andrew Pollard, Paws Along the River Humane Society – spay and neuter program, Penn State Behrend, Salvation Army of Warren, Second Harvest Backpack Program Fund, Second Harvest Food Bank, Struthers Library Theatre, Warren County 4-H Livestock Program, Warren County Sheriff Department Support Dog, Warren Area High School Boys & Girls Track and Cross-country teams, Warren County School District – training day, Warren County Summer Music School, Warren County Treatment Court, Warren Philharmonic, Warren Public Library, Warren Public Library – Midwinter Fundraiser, WBFO Public Radio, WCDA – Sugar Grove Community Development Association Pickleball Court Project, WPSU Public Radio.
