to meet Sept. 9

Jamestown-Warren Christian Women Village Mission Country Partners will meet at noon Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell. Spiritual guest is Kathy Joy Hoffer of Erie speaking on “Desperate Choices and Merciful Outcomes.” Music is by Jeremy Earnheardt of Warren. Lunch is $7. The group is collecting new socks for veterans through November for local and Blue Star mothers overseas Christmas packages. Call Nancy Schuyler at 716-294-3071 for reservations. Pittsfield church to host

food express truck

The 2nd Harvest Produce Express will be at the Pittsfield Otterbein Global Methodist Church, 258 Dalrymple St., Pittsfield, on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Volunteers are needed at 1 p.m. and food distribution will begin at 2 p.m. Families will be served on a first come, first served basis. No pre-registration is necessary.

Bocce League picnic

The Warren Bocce League members picnic will be Monday, Sept. 8 at the Bocce Pavilion, Betts Park. Play at 5 p.m., dinner at 6. Meat will be provided, please bring a dish to pass and your own table service and drinks. For more info call Mike at 814-688-0063.
