Allegheny Outdoor Club Schedules Ride, Kayak Events
On Sunday, July 20 the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride the Elk County section of the Knox & Kane Rail Trail from the Forest County line to Route 66 south of Kane, a distance of 6 miles. This will be out and back on a packed limestone surface and hikers are welcome. The group will meet at Musante Street in Pleasant Township at 1:30 p.m. to car pool to the starting point on Sheffield Junction Road. Parking is limited. Greg Burkett is the leader. On Sunday, July 27, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will be canoeing/kayaking on the Allegheny River. Meet at Dairy Delite at the junction of Route 6 and Route 59 at 1 p.m. Bring sunscreen as well as a personal flotation device. Peter To is the leader of this activity.
Bridge league
winners announced
Monday evening at the YMCA, Bill Kuppinger and Pat Fincher came in first with Laurie Curren and Richard Woodruff in second. Jo Simonsen and Connie Michell were first and second at the Allegheny Community Center on Tuesday. At the Woman’s Club on Thursday, Marcy O’Brien was first and Rita Mancuso was second.
Warren Class Of 1957 to meet Saturday
The Warren High Class of 1957 will meet on Saturday, July 19, at the Eagles Club in Warren at noon.
Eisenhower Class Of 1973 to meet Thursday
The Eisenhower High School Class of 1973 will be having breakfast at The Bucket Cafe in Sugar Grove at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 17. Spouses, family and friends are welcome to attend.
