Eisenhower class of 1985

to host reunion

The Eisenhower High School Class of 1985 will hold a reunion on Saturday, July 26, at Blueberry Hill Golf Club, 6528 Cable Hollow Road, Russell. The dinner begins with a cash bar and appetizers at 5:15 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner at 6:15 p.m. The cost will be $25 a person. There will be a sheltered patio area with outdoor space available. Reservations are required and all payments must be received by July 9. Payments will be collected in June. No refunds after July 9. Blood drives scheduled

in Warren, Youngsville

The Community Blood Bank will hold blood drives from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 12 at Warren Manor, 682 Pleasant Dr, Warren; noon to 5 p.m. June 17 at Holy Redeemer, 11 Russell St., Warren; and noon to 5 p.m. June 18 when the Bloodmobile makes a stop at the Youngsville Fire Department, 29 Fireman Drive, Youngsville. Donations are needed from all blood types, but especially O-negative, the universal donor type. CBB is asking all eligible individuals to consider donating to help meet the critical need. To donate, individuals must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Appointments can be scheduled by visiting www.fourhearts.org or by calling Edinger at 814-596-3395. Walk-ins are also welcome, but scheduling an appointment ensures a smoother process for donors. Blood donations take about 45 minutes.

Outdoor club to host event Sunday

On Sunday, June 15, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will be biking or hiking on the Knox and Kane Rail trail. The ride will start in Kane and head west toward Nansen, with the hike or ride covering 16 miles on level crushed limestone. The group will meet at Musante Street at 1 p.m. or at the Kane trailhead at 1:45 p.m. Peter and Lisa To are leaders for the excursion.

Bridge league winners announced

Monday evening at the YMCA, Shelley Dahlie and Sherra Babcock came in first with Sharon Rissel and Anne Johnson in second. At the library on Tuesday, Connie Michell placed first and Alice Kellogg was second. Jo Simonsen and Betsy Senger were first and second at the Woman’s Club on Thursday.

Caregivers Support Group Meeting

The Caregivers Support Group-Warren will meet at noon Monday, June 16, at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren. Enter the building via the elevator entrance and proceed to the Wesley Parlor. If desired, bring a bag lunch and beverage. Free literature about the behaviors and different stages of those we care for is furnished by the Alzheimer’s Association. Other resources and books are available to borrow. Plans for a summer picnic will be shared as well as information for the Warren Area Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease planned for Saturday, Sept. 27, at Betts Park, Warren. Warren Class Of 1955 to hold luncheon

The Warren High School Class of 1955 will hold its monthly luncheon on Wednesday, June 11, at 12:30 p.m. at Lawson’s West End Takeout. Classmates, spouses and friends are welcome. Reservations are not necessary.
