Office to close June 5-13

The Warren County Veterans Affairs Office will be closed Thursday, June 5th through Friday, June 13th for training and conference. The office will reopen Monday, June 16.

Christian Women’s

group to meet

The Jamestown-Warren Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners will meet for its June luncheon and program Tuesday, June 10, at noon at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell, Pa. The guest speaker will be Birdie Karlson of Panama, N.Y., and music will feature Judy Atwater of Russell, Pa. Karlson asked those attending to wear their favorite apron to go with her theme. Lunch is $7. Those attending are asked to bring a $1 brown bag item for exchange. Call Nancy Schuyler at 716-397-3674 to secure a reservation. There are no dues nor membership to attend.

Hospital to host blood drive

Warren General Hospital will host a Community Blood Bank blood drive on the Bloodmobile, 2 W. Crescent Park, from noon to 5 p.m. June 5. Community Blood Bank partners with hospitals in Northwest P­ennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood for patients in need. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good general health. Donors must have a valid photo ID to donate.
