Pine Grove to hold cleanup day Saturday

PINE GROVE – A spring clean up day for Pine Grove Township residents will be held on Saturday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to noon at the township garage. No hazardous waste, liquids, paints, solvents, thinners, chemicals, oils, bio-medical waste, tires, batteries, freon units or recyclable items will be accepted. Driver’s licenses will be checked to verify township residency. The cost will be $10 for cars and $20 for pick-up trucks and trailers.

Warren Library Association to hold annual meeting

The Warren Library Association’s 152nd annual meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 19, in the Slater Room of the Warren Public Library, immediately following the regularly scheduled library board meeting. Members and the public are invited.

Warren County Christian School to hold open house

YOUNGSVILLE – Warren County Christian School will hold an open house at 6:30 p.m. May 16 at the school, 165 Mead Run Road, Youngsville. The open house is combined with the school’s annual student science fair and spring concert, beginning at 7 p.m., and will end with an ice cream social. For more information, call 814-563-4457.

Blood drive scheduled

in Sugar Grove

SUGAR GROVE – The Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Sugar Grove Fire Department, 27 Wilson Road, Sugar Grove. To donate, individuals must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Appointments can be scheduled by visiting www.fourhearts.org or by calling Edinger at 814-596-3395. Walk-ins are also welcome, but scheduling an appointment ensures a smoother process for donors. Blood donations take about 45 minutes.

County Fairgrounds open

for camping Memorial Day weekend

PITTSFIELD – The Warren County Fair in Pittsfield will be offering holiday camping over Memorial Day weekend. Check in will start at noon Thursday May 22, with check out on Monday May 26. There are many campsites to choose from with water and electric hookups, restrooms with showers and a dumping station.
