Warren Public Library to host Master Gardener program
The Warren Public Library is inviting young gardening enthusiasts to dig into a hands-on learning experience with the Master Gardeners of Warren.
The event, “Grow Bulbs for Spring Flowers,” will take place on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. in the library’s Slater Room. Open to children in kindergarten through eighth grade, the program will introduce attendees to the wonders of gardening by teaching the difference between bulbs and seeds and how to plant bulbs to grow beautiful spring flowers. After the lesson, each child will have the opportunity to plant their own daffodil bulb garden to take home.
All supplies will be provided, but registration is required due to limited space. Parents can sign up their children by visiting the Children’s Department at the library or by calling the children’s librarian at 814-723-4650, ext. 126.
