Warren Zonta Club to lead 16 Days of Activism campaign
The Warren Zonta Club invites organizations or businesses to participate in 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence from Nov. 25, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, through Dec. 10, Human Rights Day.
The UN supports this civil society-led campaign through the “United Nations Secretary-General’s UNiTE to End Violence Against Women Campaign.” The UNiTE Campaign utilizes orange to represent a brighter future free from violence against women and girls. It is a unifying theme that runs through all of its global activities.
Warren Zonta has been following 16 Days of Activism for the last several years and wants to expand participation in 2024 to show the world that Warren County, Pennsylvania, says NO to violence against women.
Participation in the event is as simple as a photo of a small group from the organization or business with the 6-foot Zonta banner that says, “Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women.” The group pictures will be used on Facebook and the website to highlight allies in the community over the 16 days of Activism. To coordinate, simply contact Warren Zonta through their email zontawarren@gmail.com to arrange a time and place for the photo.
Zonta International is a leading global organization of professionals that empowers women worldwide through service and advocacy. It has over 29,000 members in 62 countries, and in 2019, Zonta celebrated its 100th Anniversary.
