LWV highlights Vote411 as voter information resource

This year’s presidential election could hinge on the results in Pennsylvania.

That means that millions and millions of dollars in ads are pouring into the state from candidates and other organizations.

Those ads can make it difficult to know fact from fiction.

The Warren County League of Women Voters is highlighting a resource – Vote411.org – aimed to help voters learn about candidates’ positions on issues.

“The league is a political grassroots network and membership organization that believes the freedom to vote is a nonpartisan issue,” Phyllis Wright, Warren County League vice president of communications, said.

She explained that voters who visit Vote411.org, a site funded by the League of Women Voters, can enter their address to find their ballot.

She said there are descriptions for eight races – President, Senator, Pa. Attorney General, Pa. Auditor General, State Treasurer and the 21st state Senate District and 65th state House District.

“Questions and answers are specific for the office,” Wright said. “Only candidates who responded to the request for information from the National League of Women Voters survey appear. There is more information about registering to vote… dates and more.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
