Pleas entered at preliminary hearings
Five guilty pleas were entered while charges were withdrawn against four others as a result of preliminary hearings held over the last week at the Warren County Courthouse.
The following defendants entered guilty pleas:
Faith C. Cruz, 22, Warren, to disorderly conduct. A count of possession of a controlled substance was withdrawn.
Angela R. Deans, 48, Pittsfield, to possession of a controlled substance and two traffic offenses. Four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and two traffic offenses were withdrawn.
Syvel L. Fields, 30, Jamestown, NY, to defiant trespass and retail theft. A count of retail theft was withdrawn.
Brent T. Grubbs, 19, Warren, to disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and purchasing alcohol by a minor. Charges of resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, public drunkenness, possession of drug paraphernalia and purchasing alcohol by a minor were withdrawn.
Douglas S. Lawson, Jr., 43, North Warren, to possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges of resisting arrest, hindering apprehension and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia were withdrawn.
Charges were withdrawn against the following individuals:
Kelly L. Bonnell, 53, Russell. Bonnell had been charged with simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment.
Jason R. Lord, 47, Youngsville. Lord had been charged with simple assault. A count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.
Kelly L. Lucks, 49, Warren. Lucks had been charged with retail theft. Three counts of retail theft were re-categorized as non-traffic offenses.
John F. Miller, 64, Pittsfield. Miller had been charged with simple assault. A count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.
