NPRC to offer CE

credits for teachers

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College has been authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to offer Act 48 continuing education credits for Pennsylvania educators. Educators seeking college credits can enroll in any NPRC academic courses beginning this summer to help fulfill their 180 continuing education requirements every five years. The institution offers guaranteed admission to anyone with a high school diploma or equivalent, and applying to NPRC for continuing education students can be completed in just two steps. These steps are: 1) create a free account, 2) complete the application. Additionally, NPRC’s Workforce Development division can deliver an Education Team and Leadership Certification course, as well as other customized professional development training courses for local school districts to assist educators in their continuing education coursework.

Firecracker bingo party

The Sugar Grove Free Library is holding a firecracker bingo party on July 12 at 6 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Fire Hall. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $30 per person and includes 10 bingo cards. Prizes include gift cards and prizes from local businesses in addition to a basket raffle, 50/50 drawing, pull tabs, pie auction and door prizes. Food and drinks will be for sale by the Sugar Grove VFD. Tickets are available at the door or the Library. The final round grand prize is $500.
