Lana Creal and Chick Bello placed first Monday at the YMCA with Lynn Way and Richard Woodruff in second. Bill Massa and Connie Lucia were first and second on Tuesday at the Allegheny Community Center. At the Woman’s Club on Thursday, Nan Cashman came in first and Marcy O’Brien was second.

Fishing program

The Forest Service is offering a free, family-friendly program about the basics of fishing in Allegheny National Forest. The program will be held on Saturday, June 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Beaver Meadows near Marienville. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has issued an educational exemption for this program, therefore no fishing license is required to participate. Limited fishing equipment is available for use by program participants, including fishing rods, hooks, and bait. To sign up, contact Sarah Needs by June 21 at (814) 927-5776 or sarah.needs@usda.gov.
