ANF summer hours

The Forest Service is shifting to the following summer hours: Bradford Ranger District Office, open Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Marienville Ranger District Office, open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Forest headquarters, Thursday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon and 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Forest Service is accepting public comments on a proposal to make improvements at the Westline Ballfield site. The proposed project is located off Westline Road in Lafayette Township, McKean County, Pennsylvania. Proposed improvements include establishing a loop road for passenger vehicles around the site, developing two parking areas, constructing a trail to Kinzua Creek that complies with accessibility guidelines, installing a vault toilet, and incorporating native plants in the landscaping. The proposal will also designate campsites in the vicinity of the Westline Ballfield. The proposal comes after resource damage concerns were identified and aims to provide a designated and stabilized driving surface, improve drainage issues, and enhance the visitor experience.
