DAR Good Citizen awards

The General Joseph Warren Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has announced the Good Citizen awards for Warren and Forest County High Schools. The DAR Good Citizen Recognition is presented to a high school senior that has demonstrated the qualities of dependability, leadership, patriotism and service.

In honor of our Good Citizens the General Joseph Warren Chapter will make a monetary donation to the Warren Tree Fund. The DAR Good Citizen Recognition was presented to the following students: Payton Frank of Eisenhower Middle High School, daughter of Ken and Tina Frank; Peyton Bailey of Sheffield Area Middle

High School, daughter of Nikki Bailey; Samuel Harvey of Warren Area High School, son of Sam and Rachel Harvey; Daisy Lindstrom of Youngsville Middle High School, daughter of James Lindstrom; Taylor Oliver of East Forest High School, daughter of Adam and Alyssa Oliver and Jessica Culver of West Forest High School, daughter of James and Susan Culver.

Bridge results

Sherry Griffiths was first and Connie Lucia second on Tuesday at the Allegheny Community Center. At the Unit Game on Wednesday in Bradford, Chick Bello and Bill Tordello placed first East/West and first overall and Rita Mancuso and Connie Michell were first North/South and second overall. Sherry Griffiths and Susie Spangler were first and second Thursday afternoon at the Woman’s Club. Bridge lessons will be held starting next Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Woman’s Club.
