Plant sale

The Warren Garden Club is holding its annual plant sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gen. Joseph Warren Park in Warren. Perennials and annuals will be available in addition to herbs, antique tools, garden books and vintage lawn decorations. Garden Club members will be on hand to answer any gardening questions, as well.

Garden club meets

The Hill and Dale Garden Club saw 26 in attendance earlier this month. Cleanup of the mile marker was completed. A workbee is scheduled for Garden Therapy at the Rouse for June 10 at 1 p.m. Garden Therapy will be held June 17 at 1 p.m. A farmer’s market will be held in Sugar Grove on June 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school. The group’s next meeting will be June 26 at 12:30 p.m. at the American Legion in Youngsville.

Day camp registration

Registration for North Warren Presbyterian Chuch’s day camp – set for July 29 through August 2 – is now open. Registration forms are due July 21. Children ages four (by July 1) through sixth grade can attend. Those seeking more information are asked to call (814) 723-5060.

The following programs for adults will be held at the Warren Public Library during the month of June: Summer reading kick off and ice cream social, June 3 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Adventure journaling, June 6, 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.; Outdoor Cooking virtually with Beth Dooley, June 10, 5:30 p.m.; Beach glass craft class with Christine Roessler, June 11, 5:30 p.m., registration and a $10 fee is required; Movie night, June 12, 5:30 p.m.; Chair yoga on June 17 at 5:30 p.m. and June 20 at 12:30 p.m.; Book discussion on June 24 at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.; Flower pot craft, June 25 at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.; Game night, June 26, 5:30 p.m.; Owl program by Emily Hunt, June 29, 11 a.m.

Caregivers Support

Group Meeting

The Caregivers Support Group will meet Thursday, June 6, at 6 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church, 501 PA. Ave. E., Warren. Please enter the building via the PA Ave. entrance and proceed to the Winger Room. Anyone interested in Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia-related diseases and all caregivers are welcome. The lending library is available at each meeting with many helpful books regarding the actual care of those with the disease. Time will be allowed for sharing concerns or questions.
