The Sugar Grove Ruff Riders and the Trails & Rails Equestrians 4-H clubs had the opportunity to spend the weekend at Equine Affair in Columbus, Oh. earlier this month. The Equine Affaire is North America’s premiere equine exposition and equestrian gathering. Club members enjoyed an unparalleled program of hundreds of training clinics, seminars and demonstrations presented by leading coaches, competitors, trainers and industry experts on a wide range of disciplines and topics. There were special presentations catering to cow and ranch events. There was an equestrian fitness challenge, the opportunity to drive a draft horse, a college career fair, and the opportunity to interact with veterans, active duty, and first responders working in equine-assisted activities and therapies.
