Hospice holds Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

Photo provided to the Times Observer

Hospice of Warren County held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on April 17 at the Conewango Club. The night honors Hospice volunteers for their compassionate care to hospice patients and their families throughout the year. Special guest speaker and fellow Hospice volunteer Marylin Eberhart explained the Grief Yoga program she facilitates weekly and walked her fellow Volunteers through a mindfulness exercise. Volunteers are a crucial part of the Hospice of Warren County organizational structure. As a small not-for-profit organization, Hospice of Warren County relies on the tireless efforts of volunteers to help provide essential support for patients and their families at home, in the nursing home and at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Residence. Volunteers also help with administrative operations and many of the bereavement services offered to Hospice Families and the community at large.
