Zachary Shelly, left, and Mitch Labesky were sworn in as part-time police officers for Youngsville Borough during Monday’s borough council meeting. They were sworn in by Mayor Scott Nelson. Labesky told council he is currently working with Conewango Police part-time and has also worked in Oil City and Warren as well as at a large department out of the area. “I came back up here because it’s home,” he said. Shelly said he’s also an officer in Union City and is looking to get a part-time job closer to home. He’s also worked with the Kane department. Chief Todd Mineweaser said the borough was “lucky to find a couple local guys” to fill these roles.
