Puzzles

available at Youngsville

library

Do you enjoy working on puzzles – especially during cool spring days? Do you wish you had some “new to you” puzzles to work on?

If so, be sure to stop in at the Youngsville Public Library and see what puzzles are available at the library’s “Free Puzzle Exchange” station, located in the library’s foyer area. The puzzles are organized according to the number of pieces and difficulty.

You don’t check out the puzzles like you would for regular library materials. This is a free program, so if you see a puzzle or puzzles you’d like to try, just take them home with you. There is no obligation to return them to the library. And if you happen to have any puzzles at home that you’ve completed and no longer want to keep at home please bring them to the library and we’ll add them to your puzzle selection area. Library hours are Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Eclipse take-home packets: The total eclipse is Monday, April 8. . Are you ready? Do you have certified solar-eclipse glasses? The Youngsville Public Library has created a 10 page “Eclipse 101 Take-home Packet” and there are still packets available as the countdown to the eclipse gets closer. The Solar Eclipse will take place on Monday, April 8, and the Youngsville area is located inside the path of eclipse totality. Inside the 10-page Eclipse 101 packet you’ll discover a wealth of information that includes exact times marking the beginning, middle, and ending of the eclipse cycle in our area, a site map, a reputable link to find exact eclipse paths and times throughout the country, easy to follow explanations about solar eclipses, and even information about what is the optimum color of clothing to where during an eclipse and other interesting facts. The packet also includes fun and safe ways to view the Solar Eclipse without using certified Solar Eclipse Glasses, including DIY solar eclipse viewer directions. The library is only asking for a $1 donation per eclipse packet to help offset the library’s printing costs for each 10-page packet. Two safety-certified solar eclipse glasses will be given away with each eclipse packet.

Library hours are Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
