ServSafe class set for next month

The ServSafe food safety manager course offered by Penn State Extension will be held at the Warren/Forest Higher Education Council, 589 Hospital Drive, North Warren, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 7 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 14. The exam will begin at 1 p.m. on March 14. These in-person trainings, taught by certified ServSafe instructors, will help participants learn how to prevent contamination of food by properly receiving, storing, preparing, cooking, cooling and serving the food, as well as proper methods of sanitizing food service facilities. Cost of the course is $165. Participants should register at extension.psu.edu before March 4.
