Youngsville Life

Photo submitted to the Times Observer Marcy O’Brien, an author and columnist in the Times Observer, is pictured during a recent book signing at the Youngsville Public Library.

LARGE TURNOUT FOR VISIT BY AREA AUTHOR

It was a packed room at the Youngsville Public Library on Wednesday as area residents came to hear Marcy O’Brien answer questions, read a few excerpts from and then sign her first book, a memoir collection entitled: “Rounding Third…”

O’Brien’s lighthearted humor, thoughtfulness, and Erma Bombeck-type style made her readings and interactions with the audience engaging and upbeat. At all her future signing events, “Rounding Third” will continue to be available at the one-time introductory price of $15.90 (includes tax), $3 less than retail. Cash or check preferred. O’Brien will be promoting and signing her books at: Tidioute Library from 1 to 3 p.m. today, 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Dunkirk Public Library in Dunkirk, N.Y., 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheffield Township Library, from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Warren Public Library and 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Lakewood Public Library in Lakewood, N.Y.

The book is also available at House of Printing, Beauty Boutique and Virg-Ann’s Flower and Gift Shop in Warren, as well as Amazon.com.
