A college and career fair was held at Warren County School District’s Central Office Building in Russell last month. More than 500 students attended from Warren, Sheffield, Youngsville, Eisenhower, Forest and Frewsburg area high schools, and Tidioute Community Charter School. and over 40 representatives from colleges, technical schools, military recruitment and other training organizations from as far away as Pittsburgh, Williamsport, Dubois and Alfred, New York, were on hand to tell students about their options for further education. The fair was sponsored by the Warren-Forest Higher Education Council School-to-Work Program. The council is hosting a FAFSA federal financial aid completion program on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. at its suite at the Warren State Hospital grounds. The event is recommended for all seniors and their parents. Those who bring the required information and have created and verified FSAID accounts will be able to walk out of the event having completed all requirements and applications.
