Fair annual meeting
The Warren County Fair annual meeting and election of fair board directors will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, at 8 p.m. in the 4-H building on the Warren County Fairgrounds. A review of the 2023 fair along with the election of seven directors for a three-year term will take place. Nominees include incumbents Christy Burns, Jason Enos, Laura James, Dale McMillen, Tracy Pilling, Jeffery Rulander, Dave Wilcox. Other nominees include Jon Ferrie, Kenneth Fletcher III and Jessalyn Peterson-Palmer. The meeting and voting are open to the public.
Bridge results
Lynn Way and Richard Woodruff were first Monday evening at the YMCA with Sherra Babcock and Marty Gingell in second. Pat King and Donna Hickey came in first and second Tuesday at the Allegheny Community Center. At the Woman’s Club on Thursday, Nan Cashman placed first and Alice Kellogg was second.
Reservations are now open for the annual Woman’s Club Bridge Marathon to be held the four Fridays in January 2024. Players must come as a pair. Lunch will be served by members of the club. Please call (814) 723-5910 for more information.
Support group
to hold party
HEROES, a support group for children and families with disabilities, will hold a kids Christmas Party on Friday, Dec. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m at the Warren YMCA. Activities will include photos with Santa, Christmas-themed sensory activities and crafts, decorating sugar cookies and watching a Christmas movie in a supportive environment.
