A basket giveaway fundraiser is underway at the Warren YMCA to benefit mental health awareness and suicide prevention education provided by CORE. Kari Swanson, CORE’s founder, said a downtown mental health event was scheduled for Sept. 23 but had to be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. While the event is planned to return in 2024, the basket giveaway is one of the organization’s major fundraisers. Tickets are being sold at the YMCA and more than 50 baskets are currently on display. Drawings will be held at noon on Sept. 23.
