Retirees to meet

The Osram Sylvania lady retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 4, at Double D’s in Garland.

Cheese Yield Auction set

The first Heather Wilcox Memorial Cheese Yield Auction will be held Saturday, August 12 at the Livestock Pavilion at the Warren County Fair, starting at 1 p.m. Heather Wilcox was a strong advocate for and supporter of the dairy industry in Warren County, especially the next generation. It was her dream to establish the cheese auction to recognize and support the hard work of the youth of the local dairy farms.

Garden club meets

The Hill and Dale Garden Club met on July 26 and heard from police and Experience Inc. on senior fraud. Members discussed efforts to weed the Sugar Grove Park garden that had been overgrown with milkweed and morning glory. The Mile Marker was also weeded. Submissions for the county fair need to be submitted by Aug. 6.
