New members always welcome to book club

Photo provided to Times Observer STEM-ulating Slime @YPLibrary: Silas is having fun creating ooey, gooey, and “bluey” slime during the STEM-ulating Stories with Sara program at Youngsville Library. There are 3 more program dates from 1 pm - 2 pm each date: July 12, July 19, and July 26. No preregistration required. Targeted ages are 5-12. Some of the upcoming STEM topics/projects will include exploring rollercoasters and zip lines.

¯ Amazing Animals Program: Monday, July 10 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am at the Youngsville Public Library, join in the fun for the “Amazing Animals” program. This 7-part series started in June and will continue for the following Mondays from 10:30 am -11:00 am: July 10, July 17, July 24, and July 31. No registration required to attend. Target ages are 4 -12 years, but all are welcome! Each program in this series features: a nature story (featuring a different animal each week), nature facts, a craft that you can take-home or choose to complete at the library, and a snack. You do not have to attend every program to participate.

¯ Traditional Storytime: Tuesday, July 11 from 10:30-11 am join Miss Diane for Storytime music, activities, and a whole lot of fun! No registration required. Targeted ages 3-5 but all are welcome.

¯ job search help: Wednesday, July 12 from Noon -3pm a representative from PACareerLink will be available for walk-in help and presentations regarding job search assistance, how to access over 6,000 free classes and training opportunities, and more.

¯ Book club: Youngsville Library’s monthly book club meets the second Tuesday of each month from 3 pm – 4 pm. New members always welcome. Stop by and join in the discussions.

¯ cruise-in @KAM’s: Day two of the 2nd Annual Car & Bike Cruise at KAM’s logging supplies and outerwear is from 4 pm -10 pm. A variety of food vendors starting at 4 pm with raffles, craft vendors, and awards too. The band Afraid of Human will play from 6 pm – 10 pm. Come and enjoy the fun.
