Experience Inc. and the Allegheny Community Center are working to facilitate pickup of farmers market vouchers.
The distribution is scheduled for July 10, 11 and 19 at Experience Inc., 905 Fouth Ave. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day as well as at the Endeavor Senior Center on July 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are income guidelines and proxy forms are available at the ACC.
CONSTRUCTION SAFETY
Allegheny Community Center staff ask people to be careful getting to and from the center amid downtown construction. Crosswalk signs have been placed in front of the parking lot to the ACC.
MAH JONGG

Photo provided to the Times Observer The Culinary Kidz program returns for a second year. Participants will have the opportunity to cook in the kitchen at the Allegheny Community Center, learning kitchen safety, how to read recipes, cooking skills all the while interacting with seniors. The program runs for five weeks.
A Mah Jongg group is available every Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the ACC.
TAI CHI
A tai chi class is offered every Monday. A class for beginners is at 9 a.m. while those who have attended before have a 10 a.m. session. There is no fee to participate.
RAISING
GRANDCHILDREN
The Care Council, a group of like-minded nonprofit entities that provide many programs and services locally, has acquired a grant to fund positive and fun family interactions for grandparents raising their grandchildren. Local presenters designed to address these specific needs will be offered while the ACC will offer free activities that encourage both generations to work together through art. To sign up, call the ACC.
ART PROGRAM
A new, free, multi-generational program will be held over five weeks – every Tuesday in August – from 4 to 6 p.m. The ACC and Erie Arts and Culture are collaborating to bring you the opportunity of learning acrylic painting with established artists from the Erie Arts and Culture organization. The weekly program will bring together participants of all ages who will work together with a teaching artist and an art therapy student, as they learn new artistic skills and expressive techniques.
WATERCOLOR CLASS
A watercolor class is held each Monday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Just a few seats remain. Call the ACC to sign up.
