Remake Learning Days events will start this weekend

From Warren County to New Zealand, the United Kingdom to Uruguay, Remake Learning Days is bringing family-friendly events to spots around the globe.

The celebration is the third annual event for Northwestern Pennsylvania.

“Warren County will propel forward with engaging, family-friendly events related to art, maker technology, science, outdoor learning, and youth voice,” Riverview Intermediate Unit #6 Education Program Specialist Kelsi Wilcox Boyles said. “Our region is home to rich natural beauty that harbors lessons in everything from science to art. Remake Learning Days opens our eyes to the lessons that surround us every day.”

On Friday, the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center will host Robots, Bees, and Mice, Oh My!

The Children’s Interactive Festival will be in downtown Warren Saturday, May 6, featuring free comic books, interactive hands-on learning experiences, and the WQLN Stream Machine.

The Crary Art Gallery gets in on the action on Friday, May 19, with plaster, sculpt, and scan.

The Warren County Conservation District will help residents plant some vegetables and find out where their food comes from on Saturday, May 20.

On the same day, Allegheny Center for the Arts will be at Allegheny Outfitters to help people find harmony in arts and nature.

On Saturdays throughout the month, the Audubon Nature Center on Riverside Road off Route 62 just over the New York State line will turn regular folks into ornithologists for the day – “experiencing what scientists do to monitor the health of bird species, such as bird banding.”
