Spring Market Days

Rad Lands Co. in downtown Warren, 428 Pennsylvania Ave. W., will be holding Spring Market Days this weekend from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The event will bring 10 to 20 unique vendors and include local designs, spring/summer goods, food and beverages, a photo booth and basket raffles. Rad Lands Co. store will be redone with a huge new selection of apparel in all types/ages/sizes, accessories, plants and springs goods, home accessories, gifts and more while the Whimsy Day Photography studio will also be open for tours and sign-up specials for 2023-24 sessions and weddings.

Bridge results

Lana Creal and Chick Bello claimed first Monday evening at the YMCA with Shelley Dahlie and Pat Fincher in second. Marge Polito and Connie Michell were first and second Tuesday at the Allegheny Community Center. At the Woman’s Club on Thursday, Sherry Griffiths came in first and Diane Scarcella was second.

Club to meet

The Warren Area Tabletop Game Club is hosting an open gaming event Thursday, May 18, from 6-10 p.m. at the North Warren Community House, 3 Church St. The cost is $3 per person.

Nonprofit fundraiser

The Follett Run Bay Wash car wash has an ongoing fundraiser for area nonprofits, churches, clubs and associations. With each car wash a percentage is given back to the designated organization. In addition, owners Larry and Kathy Lang offer an annual $500 drawing for all of their participating groups. This year St. Joseph Catholic School was the beneficiary. Prior winners include CASA, Boy Scouts of America, and Family Services. Pictured are owner Larry Lang and St. Joseph Catholic School Principal Carrie Pearson. Historical Society Museum open house

The Elk Township Historical Society Museum will hold its first open house of the year on Saturday, May 13, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The museum is located at the four corners of Scandia in the formal Scandia School. A new display of Elk Township history books is ready and books can be obtained for a donation to ETHS or Scandia Covenant Church. Several of the books were authored by Dr. Boozer. The museum is free to visit and all are welcome.
